We thought it would be nice to share all the lovely things we have been doing in Ocean Room since September! We have had lots of lovely new friends and families join Ocean Room and we have been busy welcoming them. We have also had lots of birthdays to celebrate as children turn 3 years old. This term we have also had some themed days/ sessions and have been busy exploring all the areas around nursery.
Ugly Bug Ball.
On 31st October we had an ugly bug ball. The children could choose if they wanted to come to nursery dressed up. We had lots of fun, playing with bugs in jelly getting very sticky, doing bug dancing and eating a special snack.
Autumn walk and collecting leaves
We went on a walk with Sophie over to the field. We all looked around and found some lovely leaves on the ground. Some were orange and crunchy when you stood on them; we found other things for Sarah’s interest table too, including conkers. Back at nursery we all helped to sweep the leaves up into a big pile. Some of us scooped them up and through them in the air-it was good fun!
Looking ahead to the end of term.
Children in Need.
Please may we take this opportunity to remind you all that Pudsey Bear is coming to play at Bourne Valley on Friday 18th November to help us raise money for Children in Need. Even if your child is not normally in on a Friday, you would be welcome to pop along and meet Pudsey, perhaps have your photo taken together. (Please ensure you check timings with your Key Person.)
Festive Fun!
Christmas is coming…
During the festive period we will be arranging Christmas Parties for all the children to attend, dates will follow closer to the time. We will also be running Christmas holiday club for the first time from Monday 19th-Friday 23rd December. (If you would like your child to attend please book them in with the office as the rest of nursery will be closed for Christmas.)
We have also planned our family social for Friday 2nd December starting at 5pm until 7pm - All family and friends are welcome to share in our festive fun!
