Ocean News

It has been a very busy half term in Ocean Room, welcoming lots of new starters, and seeing Zoë’s first key group grow! We have also said goodbye to some members of the room, including Elsa and Tamara, who are all missing very much!

We have celebrated various occasions, such as Valentine’s Day, where we enjoyed making cards and Jam heart tarts, and also world book day, where we all dressed up as Thomas the Tank Engine characters!

Our Sensory Room has undergone a transformation to a home corner, and now into a shop! The children are really enjoying buying their grocery’s, and we even went on a trip to the village shop! We would like a say a very big thank you to Mrs. Sztucki, who secured us funding for lots of new sensory and physical resources for the nursery, these are greatly appreciated!

We have been planting daffodils and sunflowers within Ocean Room, which are coming along nicely! The daffodils have survived half a term in the garden, and are in full bloom! The sunflowers are also getting very tall, and we will be sending these home soon! We have been talking about growth, the change in weather, and other such factors of the changing season.

Now that the sunny season has begun, we have been able to go for lots of walks to the river, the train bridge and see the surrounding area. The children have enjoyed exploring the fields, seeing the horses, pigs, and eating picnics by the river!
