Here is a letter from the Bourne Valley team concerning the start of the new club at the Winterbourne school site;

Dear Families,

            We hope you have had an enjoyable Christmas holiday and wish you all a very happy 2010!

We are looking forward to starting the new Before and After school club at Winterbourne Earls Primary School on Monday morning on the 4^th January.

Claire and Michelle will be ready to meet you each morning in the school hall (please use rear entrance) and Ellen and Shelly will be at Nursery as usual.

In the evening Cothele and Claire will walk any remaining children down to the car park by 5.15pm and Tracey, Sam and Lauren will be in the new Jungle/Desert themed room at Nursery until 6pm.

Please don’t worry if you are unsure where you are booked in – Gaenor will be available each morning on the Nursery gate at 8am to help us all head in the right direction.

Also can you let us know it writing by the end of the first week of term if you want to make any changes to the location of your booking or add additional slots – we want to give existing families priority for spaces.

The new before and after school clubs at Winterbourne Earls is now open! Thank you all for being so patient whilst waiting for the licence to come through, we needed this to be able to operate at the school site, your support over the last term has been much appreciated. Thank you.

Health and Safety

·        When dropping off and picking your child up at the clubs please use the playground door to the hall and not the main entrance of the school. This is so we don’t have to leave the room to let you in.

·        Please shut the big gate as you enter and leave the site.

·        We have decided it is a reasonable risk for children to ride the scooters without helmets with adequate supervision. If you do not wish for your child to ride a scooter without a helmet please let us know in writing and provide your child with a suitable helmet.

Information for parents

There is a notice board situated on the wall outside of the school hall where you can find various information about the clubs and the staff. We also have a registration trolley where we ask parents to sign their child in and out of the club when they drop their child off and pick them up. Stored on this trolley is a file containing all the policies and procedures available to you at all times; we warmly welcome your in put so please do have a read and share your thoughts with us.

 If you have any questions or queries please come and talk to one of the team or call into the office at Bourne Valley.

You can also find Alison, at Bourne Valley Nursery every day and she will be happy to answer any questions.
